Model UN Final

The most important thing i learned in Model UN this year is the status quo in the united States and around the world. I learned about what was going on in our society and the  important thing happening around the world. From learning about thing that were happening I was able to relate to the news on TV. The way that Model UN applies to real life is just like during a simulation when you have to follow parliamentary procedures and speak in order to win best delegate you have to do that same thing in real life. In life you have to also follow the rules to survive and be a better person at the end of the way. SO that is how Model UN has helped me this year.

Position Paper

Name: Samuelson Jones

Country: Sierra Leone

Committee: Human Right Counsel

Topic: Preventing Torture

Torture is an inhumane activity that many countries choose to do in order to get information from a prisoner or terrorist and other people. Torture has been in existence for Centuries and many efforts have been taken to end it. Convention Against Torture (CAT) is one of the global efforts taken to stop torture. CAT is a document that ratifies torture around the world it was drafted and signed on December 10, 1984.   Sometimes victims of torture are innocent and are there for killed because who ever is torturing them thinks that they are hiding information. Many lives have been killed or ruined by torture and the delegate from Sierra Leone thinks its time to end torture around the world.

Sierra Leone is not in support of torture because of the bad history behind it. Sierra Leone doesn’t have any history of torture recently. The only time there was torture in Sierra Leone was during the Civil war. After the civil war there hasn’t been any case that the government of Sierra Leone has sent someone to be tortured. Sierra Leone wants every delegate to know that Sierra Leone hasn’t helped any other country to torture anyone. So Sierra Leone is open for any discussion to stop torture.

The best solution to the torture problem is to form a new worldwide organization that will focus mainly on stopping torture. There is already an organization to stop torture but it isn’t as affective in stopping torture. The new organization will focus on stopping torture and discipline countries that are torturing people. Some of the action that will be taken to any country that is doing torture is sanction or to other action to be made.

FPF Final

The activity that i would be teaching is dribbling with a soccer ball between cones. There are many health related fitness components. They are Cardiovascular FitnessMuscular  Endurance, Flexibility, Muscular Strength and Body Composition.
Cardiovascular Fitness has to do with working continuously without stopping for an extended period of time. Jogging and hiking are examples of Cardiovascular Fitness. Muscular Strength is the maximal force that you exert when you contract your muscles. An example is weight training. Flexibility is the range of motion your joints have during movement and an example of that is stretching. Muscular Endurance is to contract your muscles several times without excessive fatigue an example is push-ups. Body composition is the ration of water, bone, muscle and fat in the body.
My activity which is dribbling a soccer ball between cones in a line. I will start from one end and dribble in between the cones from left to right till i get to the other end of the line of cones. While i am doing to activity i will be jogging for the first two times then i will sprint for the last two times. This will help improve my Cardiovascular Fitness and my health.
During the summer time i would be doing many health related activities. I will be going hiking, playing soccer, jogging and maybe playing basketball. All those activities will help me improve my Cardiovascular Fitness. I will be doing those activities almost everyday. Soccer will be the sport I play most of the time.
